In short: Prior to being referred to Calgary Core Physio, I had spent almost 2 years with a back problem trying to find aid from doctors, chiropractors, as well as other physiotherapists and having no luck. After a couple visits with Tim Lee, I finally began to see improvement and over the course of my treatment was able to become active once again. Tim's technical approach demonstrates his thorough understanding of his field. In each session, my back was assessed and the treatment was tailored to my condition on that day. I recommend Calgary Core Physio without hesitation. They are a highly skilled, very professional group that provide a top notch service to those lucky enough to know about this gem of a clinic. The long story: After about $1000 spent in chiropractic and physiotherapy fees with no results, the physiotherapist I was then working with encouraged me to see a spine specializing doctor in hopes of finding better treatment. After this advice, and a few months waitlisted, I ended up seeing a spine doctor at Caleo Health, and having an MRI done on my back. This process took another few months and cost another $1000 (it would have taken 8 months had I gone the public route for the MRI). After this, the doctors at Caleo told me there were no issues spotted from the MRI, and that the issue was soft tissue damage, requiring no surgery or use of their skills. Feeling pretty disenfranchised at this point, having spent a lot of time (in pain) and money (in vain), and not knowing where to turn next, I began trying all sorts of alternative approaches. I tried acupuncture, yoga, I bought an inversion table.. all without measureable results. Having seemingly tried everything, I was beginning to accept that I would have to live with the pain for the rest of my life.. a harsh notion for someone in their early 20s. After a few months I happened upon some good luck and a family friend, who had been treated by Tim Lee at Calgary Core Physio, urged me to try a few treatments with Tim. I was reluctant at first, as I had previously been to a physiotherapist for the injury, however; after a couple treatments with Tim I began to realize that not all physiotherapists are of the same skill set. This is a no brainer looking back. From the first treatment Tim was, unlike those before him (including a doctor at a spine specializing clinic), able to understand my back problem and knew how to treat it. Tim even educated me in how to better maintain my back and protect myself from developing an injury in the future. Words cannot describe my level of gratitude. Had I visited Tim in the first place, I would have avoided a lot of costs, unnecessary pain, and had a quicker recovery. When I hear of someone in need of a physiotherapist, especially in the case of a back injury, I am quick to recommend Tim and Calgary Core Physiotherapy. They really know what they're doing.

I have had chronic knee injuries from way too much soccer and skiing over the years and had developed a rotator cuff injury along the way (Crossfit, ugh). Darra has been an absolute game changer in terms of my ability to keep up my activity levels and sports I enjoy . There are limitations to how good my knees can ever be which he is realistic about and mindful of, something I appreciate immensely. He has a great balance between focusing on short term pain relief with long term healing and improvement in mind. His dry needling is akin to witchcraft it's so good. I couldn't more highly recommend Darra Bennett and any of the Core staff. They are my go-to recommendation for anyone with aches, pains, injuries or any desire for a tune up.

I have had my share of injuries over the years and can honestly say that the team at core provide the best and most effective care possible. They treat not just injuries but help to address underlying causes. If you need treatment this is the place you want to be getting it.

I found my experience with Calgary Core Physio to be excellent, staff were friendly, personal and appointments were punctual. The sessions were extremely helpful for me to reach the goals I had to get back to normal. Elliott Goldman was super, he provided a great exercise plan, the sessions were very helpful, and he provided lots of good education about my case. I would most definitely return to Calgary Core Physio in the future if the need arises.

As an active person, I have spent a LOT of time looking for a great physiotherapist and I am so glad to have been referred to Tim Lee. I have had 2 different injuries over the past year and he has healed both. He spends a full 30 minutes listening to you and working on you as opposed to many physiotherapists who come back and forth but you never seem to get their full attention. Also I believe that he really wants to give you the tools to heal yourself as opposed to some that want to keep that annuity rolling for themselves. I am so grateful to have Tim Lee as my physiotherapist and highly recommend him!

When I started working with Elliott I had a number of limitations and pain points as a result of an old injury. Elliot was great!! He explained the cause of my issues and the plan of attack to eliminate them. He was very professional but at the same time understanding and compassionate.
