I have been seeing Ian at Calgary Core Physiotherapy for longer than I can remember. I call him the magician because he had this way of tracking down not only the symptoms of my injury, but the actual root of the problem. He is, in no uncertain terms, brilliant. His entire staff, starting at the front desk, is professional, kind, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile. Without hesitation I refer all of my training clients to Ian when they need assistance with anything physiologically related. All in all, Ian and all the staff and physiotherapists at Calgary Core Physiotherapy are world class.

In June of 2021, I separated my rib from the cartilage in a Muay Thai sparring session. Almost 6 months after the injury, I still had pain and mobility issues. I couldn’t sleep on my right side or stomach or twist in one direction for almost half a year. I seen another physiotherapist, a chiropractor, and a doctor; no one could give me a solution to my rib problem. I was close to accepting the fact that it was just something I was just had to live with. I’m very happy that I then decided to try out Core Physiotherapy and started working with Elliot Goldman. After listening to my story, he knew exactly what the problem was and confirmed it after doing a few tests with me. It was a relief that someone knew a clear path to recover for me. Even after walking out of there on my first visit my rib felt like it had improved more than it had in months. After a short time of following his program for me and periodic check ins, my rib is finally back to normal. Now I’m able to live my life and play sports again with confidence that my rib is secure. I have been going to Calgary Core for treatment with Elliott for a while now and i can say with all honesty that he has helped me immensely. I have had treatment from many therapists over the years and those visits seemed to be temporary fixes, only to re-emerge again later with more severity. Once i moved to Calgary Core Elliott was very thorough and listened to my feedback, and with consistent treatment he really helped me to feel like a functional person again. I would highly recommend this business to anyone needing physical therapy, particularly those who are struggling with issues that don't seem to ever get resolved. This clinic is not operating under the same old physiotherapy model and it shows!
